A very special tuning project of my own:
Based on a Piaggio Bravo moped from the 80s, months of development work and hundreds of hours of work resulted in a virtually completely new vehicle, which now has approval as a 125cc light motorcycle and can be legally driven on the road.
The list of custom-made parts and special components for our Piaggio Bravo Custom moped includes almost all parts - ultimately, virtually nothing remained in its original state:
The Malossi Deps 4 engine with 75cc and 11hp rear wheel power is mounted in a reinforced Piaggio SI engine frame with screw-on, custom-made stainless steel engine covers; the handcrafted Scooter & Service stainless steel exhaust is of course equipped with our in-house sound insulation; this engine setup is completed with a 21mm Dellorto carburetor, Malossi ignition system and Overrange variator.
We completely redesigned the chassis with a Honda fork with Öhlins damper kit, Harley Davidson triple clamps, Nissin/TRW disc brake, Magura/Motomaster radial brake pump, adjustable YSS shock absorbers and a bolted frame brace to ensure stable straight-line running and appropriate braking performance even at speeds over 90 km/h.
The Piaggio Bravo's original fuel tank, enlarged to over 5 liters, now allows for a significantly greater range. The original Bravo fenders were modified to fit the altered telescopic fork and the SI engine frame. The electrical system in our Bravo operates on pure DC power, and the Highsider front and rear lights, as well as the Motogadget turn signals, utilize modern LED technology. The Motogadget Motoscope Mini multi-instrument features a speedometer and tachometer, as well as indicator lights for turn signals, high/low beam, etc.
We also took care of every detail with the other add-on parts: The CNC-machined bearing plate for the rear wheel with high-strength titanium central nut, the Gazzini handlebar with LSL handlebar risers, the CNC footrest system, the ultra-solid Zap Technix brake lever unit and the high-strength gold Probolt screws round off the overall concept of our "high-end moped" - the raw metal style paintwork harmonizes perfectly with the black coated and gold anodized add-on parts.
