The Scooter & Service PX Superlow forks are shortened to the correct length in our workshop and TIG-welded in a CNC-machined jig. The technical advantages of a shortened fork are obvious: Due to the lower center of gravity and the longer trail compared to the original steering tube, the Vespa's straight-line stability is significantly improved – the vehicle remains stable even at speeds well above 100 km/h and always feels planted on the road. The front shock absorber responds more sensitively due to the shallower pivot angle.

Modified Vespa Largeframe tank with tank-in-tank construction for operation with a fuel pump, suitable for all Vespa Largeframe models.
The basis for this construction is a Vespa largeframe tank with a lever closure, into which we implement a second intermediate tank with a capacity of approximately 0.8 liters, positioned at the highest possible level:
The fuel pump required for this design constantly pumps the fuel from the main tank into the small tank, which has an overflow at its highest point that leads back to the main tank - the fuel tap draws the fuel from the always completely full small auxiliary tank.
In this way, the carburetor is always filled from the highest level, regardless of the total amount of fuel in the tank. The atmospheric pressure remains constant until the last half liter of fuel is reached, and due to the higher intermediate tank, it is even higher than with a completely full original fuel tank – a huge advantage compared to dual-circuit fuel pump installations, which naturally have problems with pressure differences that depend on engine speed and fuel level, and therefore do not guarantee a truly constant fuel supply.
The Scooter & Service Largeframe Tank with tank-in-tank construction can be operated with both electric fuel pumps and a vacuum pump - long nuts with M6 threads are attached to the underside of the tank for attaching the pump used.
The existing fuel tap lever must be shortened accordingly due to the changed position of the fuel tap - the tank fits with most common seats.

Each Superlow Series Custom Vespa requires a base vehicle with valid paperwork - this also applies, of course, to a build based on a brand new PX body, which is supplied by Piaggio without a chassis number as a replacement part for a defective frame.
We usually have suitable base vehicles or parts carriers with papers in stock - the price of this option refers to a Vespa PX body that is no longer usable with the associated vehicle documents; therefore, a brand new PX body (Piaggio original part) is also required.

Vespa Custom Parts
As part of the Superlow Series Custom Vespa projects, all our in-house developments and special parts are of course used: from the handcrafted exhaust system to the Superlow chassis concept, our wide tire kits, CNC-machined special parts and the large-volume seat tanks with an 11-liter capacity.











Custom Vespa Superlow Series
The Scooter & Service Superlow Series configurator offers the unique opportunity to configure a ready-to-use custom Vespa in a vintage look with individual color design, various engine setups, and selectable features online. The basis of this small-series custom Vespa is a correspondingly modified Vespa PX; we carry out the entire production process, including all assembly and tuning work, up to the completion of the ready-to-ride Vespa, in our Vespa workshop in Bispingen near Hamburg.
Custom Vespa - Concept
For over 20 years, our Vespa workshop has been carrying out Vespa restorations and individual conversion projects on behalf of customers, and we also specialize in the development and production of special and tuning parts.
In recent years, it has become apparent in the majority of Vespa projects that the available base vehicles are increasingly deficient in terms of the condition of the bodywork and sheet metal parts, and therefore much more labor-intensive - at the same time, the usual used prices for original Vespa classics as a project basis are apparently continuing to rise rapidly:
The concept of the Scooter & Service Superlow Series is therefore fundamentally based on the use of brand-new or more affordable Vespa PX chassis, which are nevertheless designed in the classic vintage style of the 60s - the technical equipment with powerful engines, fully hydraulic disc brakes, 12V electrics and high-quality chassis components including the Vespa Superlow fork developed by us meets our current high standards as a Vespa tuning workshop.
Please note: Even when using a brand new original Piaggio body, a vehicle base with a valid frame number and documents is required (year of manufacture older than 1989); in this context, the new body represents a replacement part.
Superlow Series - Bodywork and Sheet Metal Work
The Vespa PX frames are completely reworked in our body shop to give them a vintage style:
The rear of the vehicle is converted to the typical Vespa vintage shape, the leg shield is fitted with a sheet metal cascade, the standard openings for indicators etc. are closed - a suitable handlebar and corresponding side panels complete the appearance.
We generally do not use any filler for our frame modifications - the modified frame is professionally tinned and refinished to be ready for painting, thus fundamentally eliminating problems with sagging or cracking filler.
Superlow Series Configurator - Operation
The main points 1-7 guide you step-by-step through the configuration - each option contains an info icon, under which a larger image and a more detailed description of the option appears.
Parts options without a listed surcharge are part of the basic equipment of a Superlow Series Custom Vespa - for example, Motogadget indicators, our short-stroke throttle grip and a version of the Streamline seat are included in the price in every case.
Although this configurator offers the possibility to assemble a completely individual custom Vespa and order it online, we recommend in any case that you first have a detailed conversation with us by telephone or on site in our workshop: In this way we can answer questions, advise on the design of the project and ultimately create a detailed offer.
Superlow Series - Service
Even when using a brand-new original Piaggio body, a vehicle base with a valid frame number and registration documents is required. If TÜV certification is desired, which we can arrange upon request, the vehicle must be from a year older than 1989. We strive to maintain a selection of suitable base bodies that we can offer as a project foundation if needed.
We manufacture our Superlow Series models against prepayment of the total amount (5% discount) or on the basis of partial payments by arrangement - unfortunately, we cannot offer cash on delivery.
