"S" stands for "Silent" - the revolutionary development in the field of Vespa racing exhausts from Scooter & Service!
Externally almost indistinguishable from our normal exhaust systems, the "S" models impress with a significantly reduced noise level - with a PX 200 engine with over 25 hp and 244ccm, we easily meet the noise levels required by the TÜV both when stationary and when passing by, which was not possible with exhaust systems from other manufacturers.
This quantum leap is made possible by the multi-walled construction with additional internal insulation made of high-temperature resistant insulating material from the automotive sector.
The performance of the “S” exhaust systems impresses with its early onset and broad, touring-friendly characteristics – a significant gain for all engines in the class up to 30 hp.

The S PLUS internal insulation, now available for all designs and versions of our handcrafted Vespa racing exhaust systems, is perfectly suited for broad-range Vespa tuning concepts based on a PX 200 engine with up to over 30 hp rear wheel power.
For example, the noise level of a rotary valve-controlled Vespa PX 200 engine with 244ccm and around 25 hp rear wheel power with an S PLUS-insulated exhaust is almost identical to that of an original engine - the S PLUS systems perfectly support the engine's torque even from the lowest speeds and make this system the best choice for touring engines.

CNC-machined stainless steel cylinder-side flange, compatible with all Scooter & Service PX 200 exhaust systems – including heat-resistant Viton ring. The flange is available in various inner diameters to ensure an optimal, play-free fit on the flange of the respective cylinder.
The Malossi Sport and MHR cylinders, for example, have an outer diameter of 44.4mm, while the Quattrini 232/244 cylinders and the BFA Motori cylinders for the PX 200 class come with an outer diameter of the cylinder flange of 44.9mm – if in doubt, please measure.

Special version of our exhaust system for Quattrini 232-260cc engine setups with Vespa PX 200 engines in Curley design with almost 40 individual segments: We build these small works of art entirely by hand in our Vespa workshop in Bispingen near Hamburg - the Curley exhaust for Quattrini is available exclusively in stainless steel, optionally with our S PLUS noise insulation or uninsulated.
For installation on Vespa Largeframe models, the entire electrical system under the left side panel, including the battery holder, etc., must be removed. Furthermore, depending on the Vespa model, the frame in the area of the exhaust bracket under the side panel must be modified or trimmed to allow the bracket room for suspension travel.
The performance of this Curley exhaust system is identical to that of our left-hand systems for Quattrini 232-260cc cylinders.
The exhaust system is of course supplied including all necessary mounting parts, brackets, etc.
Vespa racing exhaust Scooter & Service Quattrini 232 - 260ccm
This Scooter & Service Vespa racing exhaust was specially developed for the Quattrini M232/M244 cylinders and is characterized by an enormous range with very high torque even from low engine speeds.
The exhaust is suitable for both rotary valve-controlled Vespa PX 200 engines and reed valve intakes, and runs very well with port timings of approximately 128-130° / 27° exhaust lead. Since the Quattrini cylinder is supplied with very short port timings as standard, we recommend using the M232 cylinder in conjunction with a 60mm crankshaft and a correspondingly thick base gasket.
The PX 200 racing exhaust for Quattrini cylinders, like all Scooter & Service exhaust systems, comes with CNC-machined flange connections with Viton rings and all necessary mounting parts - the exhaust is available in steel or stainless steel and with or without noise insulation and is suitable for both center stand and wide tires.
The diagrams shown of our test engines were both created with an exhaust system featuring S PLUS internal insulation; both engines are equipped with a crankshaft with a 60mm stroke – a reed-controlled setup with a 64mm stroke is currently being planned.
Vespa racing exhaust - noise reduction
All handcrafted Scooter & Service racing exhaust systems are optionally available with our developed noise reduction system "S" or "S PLUS", which reduces the noise level to TÜV-compliant values and, above all, harmonizes perfectly with torque-oriented Vespa tuning solutions.
In conjunction with the 244ccm setups from the manufacturer Quattrini, this results in high-performance and high-torque configurations with exemplary running characteristics and a very civil noise level.
