All Vespa Largeframe models use a spacer nut as a distance between the rear shock absorber and the silent block on the frame; the length of this spacer varies depending on the vehicle type.
We generally recommend using the 52mm long spacer from the PX models as part of a chassis conversion: This improves the fuel supply when the tank is low, and makes large carburetors less likely to hit the side panel when the suspension compresses.

The Vespa PX Superlow fork, shortened by 50mm compared to the standard Vespa PX fork, has been the standard in our workshop for years. Based on a brand-new PX Lusso steering tube (original Piaggio part) with a 20mm swingarm, the Vespa PX Superlow fork can be configured to fit almost all Vespa models. By optionally using our CNC-machined shock absorber adapter, two different settings for lowering the center of gravity and adjusting the trail are possible without changing the shock absorber.
All steering tubes are welded and reworked in a special fixture in our Vespa workshop to completely eliminate distortion - the PX Superlow forks for older Vespa models such as Sprint, Rally or 50N receive a CNC-machined fork top with matching steering lock mount and handlebar clamp, as well as our universally adjustable CNC steering stop.
The upper fork sections for VNB, GS, etc. are supplied without the stop plate for the steering lock mechanism that is welded on as standard, since its position varies from model to model.
On some Vespa models with a two-piece caliper (Sprint, Rally, GL), the lower edge of the caliper must be shortened by up to 5mm so that the PX Superlow fork does not collide – this is due to high manufacturing tolerances regarding the height of the caliper from the factory.

The technical advantages of a shortened fork are obvious: Due to the lower center of gravity and the longer trail compared to the original steering tube, the Vespa's straight-line stability is significantly improved - the vehicle remains stable even at speeds well above 100 km/h and always sits firmly on the road, the front shock absorber responds more sensitively due to the flatter pivot angle.
For use with a Superlow fork in all Vespa models, we generally recommend a tire of dimension 100/80 - 10, which has a smaller outer diameter than the standard 3.50-10 tire - when using our shock absorber adapter, this tire is absolutely necessary to prevent contact between the tire and fork during full braking.

Superlow fork – Vespa PX models


When using our CNC-machined shock absorber adapter with Vespa PX/T5 fenders, a hole must be drilled above the shock absorber; without the adapter, these fenders fit the PX Superlow fork without any further modifications.
For this reason, we offer our fork for PX models not only in the version shortened by 50mm but also in a version shortened by 35mm: In this case, the PX fender does not need to be modified, the original upper shock absorber mount is used.

Superlow fork - fender


The fenders of all vintage and smallframe models need to be modified for use with a PX Superlow fork. We offer our Vespa PX Superlow fenders, which we meticulously modify by hand in our workshop using new base fenders. The Superlow fenders are supplied unpainted and include mounting brackets.
Depending on the overall configuration, our fenders may need to be built differently: For example, if a Vespa PX is to be equipped with a VNB fender or if a Stage 6 shock absorber is to be used, we take this into account and build the fender to fit the desired configuration - please specify the vehicle model when ordering.
