Handcrafted adapters for operating our seat tank on Vespa PX models with internal closures for the side panels.
The standard locking levers of the Vespa PX Lusso models are cut off just below the 90° bend, the adapters are then attached and clamped in place with the screw on the side.
The side panels can then be operated through the holes in the seat tank using a suitable Allen key without removing the seat tank.

Handcrafted Vespa tank made of sheet steel with a capacity of approximately 11 liters and a lockable Newton tank cap, suitable for all Vespa PX models, Sprint, Rally, VNB, GS 4 etc. - including mounting material.
The Scooter & Service seat tank is attached at the front using the standard thread for the seat, at the rear a screw bolt engages in the hole for the seat pin and thus perfectly centers the tank - the two magnets with screw threads prevent any rattling and also serve for perfect height adjustment and spacing.
We manufacture the Scooter & Service seat tanks entirely by hand in our workshop and carry out a final pressure test on each finished tank - a certificate for this is supplied upon request.
For Vespa PX models with internal locking mechanisms for the side panels, we optionally supply suitable adapters that allow the panels to be opened and closed without removing the tank.
The seat tank is delivered untreated, so it still needs to be painted or coated - our partner "Weitgehend Gar" manufactures individual seat cushions or complete covers on request.
Seat tank for operation with fuel pump
The Scooter & Service seat tank for Vespa Largeframe models is optionally available with a sophisticated tank-in-tank design for operation with a fuel pump.
In this version, we weld a second tank, approximately 0.8 liters in capacity, into the seat tank, positioned at the highest possible level:
The fuel pump required for this design constantly pumps the fuel from the main tank into the small tank, which has an overflow at its highest point that leads back to the main tank - the fuel tap draws the fuel from the always completely full small auxiliary tank.
In this way, the carburetor is always filled from the highest level, regardless of the total amount of fuel in the tank. The atmospheric pressure remains constant until the last half liter of fuel is reached, and due to the higher seat tank, it is even higher than with a completely full original fuel tank – a huge advantage compared to dual-circuit fuel pump installations, which naturally have problems with pressure differences depending on engine speed and fuel level, and therefore do not guarantee a truly constant fuel supply.
The Scooter & Service seat tank with tank-in-tank construction can be operated with both electric fuel pumps and a vacuum pump - long nuts with M6 threads are attached to the underside of the tank for attaching the pump used.
The existing fuel tap lever must be shortened accordingly due to the changed position of the fuel tap.
