VESPA VNB 221 CLASSIC RACER
VESPA VNB 221 CLASSIC RACER
Beschreibung
This Vespa VNB arrived at our workshop in well-restored original condition, eliminating the need for a complete restoration of the body and bodywork. The technical challenge was to implement a coherent Vespa tuning concept, encompassing a powerful yet practical engine, a Vespa chassis with disc brakes suited to the performance, and a 12V electrical system. The existing original Vespa PX 200 engine was completely overhauled in our Hamburg Vespa workshop and upgraded into a sporty touring unit using a Malossi MHR 221 cylinder kit with a Scooter & Service reed valve kit, long-stroke crankshaft, and a Newline S racing exhaust.
The Vespa chassis was fitted with a complete Cosa Superlow fork, our Vespa wide tire kit with a 4-inch rim and 130/70-10 tire, and Malossi RS 24 shock absorbers. A fully hydraulic Vespa disc brake based on a Grimeca design is used at the front. The Vespa's electrical system now uses a custom-made wiring harness and is powered by the Vespatronic ignition system with a 12V electrical system.
Upgrade 2018: After an accident, we upgraded the chassis of this VNB to radially actuated Vespa disc brakes from the manufacturer Pinasco - in addition, a Magura HC1 radial brake pump and a Stage 6 shock absorber are now used at the front.
