The engine concept developed by the Italian manufacturer BFA Motori is based on the design of the Vespa PX Largeframe engine - the engine casing, the large-volume cylinder and the ultra-solid crankshaft are completely in-house developments.
With a displacement of 306cc, the BFA engine opens up a completely new dimension in Vespa tuning: Even in the road-legal version with our touring-oriented and noise-dampened exhaust, the BFA 306 develops a rear-wheel power of up to 50hp and an early maximum torque of over 45Nm.

Built-in installation

Due to the special crankshaft with significantly wider crank webs for high torsional stability, the BFA 306 engine casing is approximately 25mm wider to the right than a normal Vespa PX casing: For this reason, the engine-side side cover must be widened on all Vespa Largeframe models.

Our handcrafted exhaust system for the BFA 306cc engine is designed for broad power delivery even from low RPMs and helps the scooter to handle well on the road - the Scooter & Service exhaust system is available as left-hand, right-hand or Curley and can be fitted with our S PLUS sound insulation upon request.
